My Review: 5/5 Stars
Kent Samson and his friend Blaine make a bet, that the next person to walk through the door Kent had to make fall in love with him. Kent didn’t want to at first, but then decided to go along with it. Little did he know, the next person to walk through the door would be Terry Barron. No matter in Kent’s mind a bet was a bet and he agreed to it. He didn’t want to have to deal with what would happen if he loss the bet. So he sets out to win Terry’s heart.
Terry couldn’t fathom why a man like Kent would want him, but he agreed to go out with him and one thing led to another and they were in a relationship. Terry knew there was something about Kent, and he wanted to find out what it was. From meeting his parents in Alabama, to going to an award ceremony, Terry stuck by Kent’s side.
Both Kent and Terry are happy with each other, but what will happen when Terry finds out he was only a bet?
This the first book that I have read by Sandrine and I loved it! She is now one of my favorite authors in this genera. You can feel the confusion in Kent when he finds himself falling in love with a man, though he doesn’t know that that’s what is happening at first. The story was well written and I loved the easy banter between the MC’s. Heck I loved both MC’s and can’t wait to finish the series and hopeful see more of them in it.
Best selling author, Sandrine (Sandy) was born in Inglewood, California. Raised by “Old School” French parents, she later moved to Tucson, AZ. It was there that writing became a hobby. Always told she had a great imagination, Sandy wrote short stories for her friends in High School. In college, she took more writing classes while working on her Criminal Justice degree, but it wasn’t until a soap opera caught her eye that she got involved in male on male romances. On the advice of a friend, Sandy dipped her toes into the world of M/M Romance. Sandy takes the writing seriously and has had countless conversations with gay men as well as hours of research. She’s been involved with the military in one way or another for over twenty years, and has a great deal of respect for our men in uniform. She’s traveled the world, but has finally returned to Arizona.
