Passion’s Dream (The Dom’s of Passion Lake #1)
Genre: M/F, Erotic, Romance, BDSM
When Clay “Raven” Nighthorse is offered a job as bodyguard to a woman being stalked by her vengeful ex, he’s ready to turn it down. Until he discovers that she is the woman he met on a beach three years ago. The woman with whom he felt an instant connection. The woman who has been haunting his dreams ever since.
Leah Stanhope has never forgotten the day she found her husband in bed with another woman. Nor has she forgotten the kindness and compassion of the complete stranger who’d simply held her in his arms and let her cry herself out on a public beach. She despairs of ever seeing him again until fate brings them together in a conflagration of desire and smoking hot passion. Can Clay convince Leah to risk her heart? And when her stalker finds her, will Clay be able to stop him in time?
My Review: 4/5
Leah Stanhope has her psycho ex husband out to get her. You would think the man would leave her alone after she caught him cheating on her in their bed, but that was no such luck. After she found him she went to the one place that gave her peace where she meets Raven.
For three years Clay has thought of Leah to the point where no other woman would do it for him. When his cousin asks him to watch over Leah, he is skeptical at first until, the ex husband tries to get her again. Now he will stop at nothing to keep her safe.
Now I know this a fiction place, but boy do I want to go to Passion Lake. That is where the kinky and sexy men are. This book is full of kinky BDSM and will have you panting for more. Clay is the kind of man you want to be chasing after you, though Leah tried to fight it. She eventually caved.
This was a page turner for me. I didn’t want it to end, but though I’m a fan of insta love, though it’s been three years, I felt they moved just a little to fast for my taste. With that said I can’t wait to read the next book. It has triplets! OMG!
Julie Shelton has always loved stories, both reading and writing them, ever since she was old enough to hold a book in her hands. One of her favorite childhood activities was smuggling books under the covers to read by flashlight after she was supposed to be asleep.
Another was writing little plays that she and her sister performed for their very indulgent parents. Her first novel was about an amateur teenage girl detective and her two sidekicks–hmm. Perhaps it was more than just a coincidence that she happened to be devouring all the Nancy Drew books at the time?
A career as a children’s librarian eventually led to her dream career as a freelance story-teller and puppeteer, a business she operated successfully for twenty-five years. During that time she wrote a monthly newsletter and a book of language arts resource material for early childhood educators. The newsletter won the prestigious EDPRESS Award for the best educational newsletter.
Now retired, she has plenty of time to devote to reading and writing her new love, erotic romance, thus following the traditional career path blazed by so many before her…from kiddie lit to erotica 🙂
